The Flyers will be without forward Jody Shelley and defenseman Oskars Bartulis tonight when they face the Tampa Bay Lightning. Both players are battling the flu and did not practice yesterday. They did make the trip to Tampa. This likely means that Daniel Carcillo and James van Riemsdyk will be in the lineup. van Riemsdyk hasn’t been playing lately due to a lower-body injury. Carcillo has been active in the last two games due to injuries.
Sergei Bobrovsky (21-6-3, 2.42 GAA, .920) will be in net and is starting opposite Tampa Bay’s Roloson Tues. Roloson is 7-3 with 3 SOs and a 2.36 GAA and .922 SP since coming over to the Lightning. The Flyers are looking to start the second half off with a win and are gearing up for the stretch run. The team is now healthy for the most part with Chris Pronger returning just before the All-Star break. If the team can stay healthy, they have a great shot to make a run at Lord Stanley’s Cup.
