** I’m going to keep track of the insanity that is the Philadelphia Eagles search for a defensive coordinator. Check back daily for updates.

February 2nd – The search is over. The Eagles have named offensive line coach Juan Castillo to be the new defensive coordinator.

February 1st – Eagles interview Minnesota Vikings defensive backs’ coach Joe Woods

January 31st – Eagles interview Chicago Bears defensive backs’ coach Jon Hoke

January 28th – Eagles will speak to Green Bay Packers defensive backs’ coach Darren Perry about the defensive coordinator position.

January 27th – Eagles have no interest in Jeff Fisher

January 24th – Denver Broncos hire Dennis Allen as their new defensive coordinator

 January 23rd – Dennis Allen arrives in Philadelphia to speak with the team about the defensive coordinator job.

January 20th – Eagles reportedly ask permission to speak with Baltimore Ravens linebackers’ coach Drew Pees for the defensive coordinator position

January 19th – Eagles ask and obtain permission to speak with New Orleans Saints’ defensive backs coach Dennis Allen about the defensive coordinator job

January 19th – Eagles hire Tennessee Titans’ defensive line coach Jim Washburn to coach the defensive line

January 16th – Rory Segrest is relieved of his duties as the defensive line coach

January 15th – Defensive coordinator Sean McDermott is fired
