Moyer Named Fifth Starter

Jamie Moyer continues to impress the baseball world.  The 47 year-old was named the fifth starter today.  Moyer went 1-0 with a 0.77 ERA in 11.2 innings of Grapefruit League play.  Moyer was hampered by injuries last season, so the team was uncertain if he could be a starter on this team.  This was considered an open competition in spring training.   Kyle Kendrick performed very well and earned himself a place on the roster.  He was strongly considered for the fifth starter spot.  Kendrick figures to be the long man out of the bullpen this season.
