Former Flyers Return

Ken Hitchcock and RJ Umberger will lead the Columbus Blue Jackets into the Wachovia Center for a battle with the Flyers.  I always liked both of these guys.  Hitchcock never got a fair shake in Philadelphia.  The team was having one of its worst seasons in franchise history and the organization just wanted to make a bold statement.  Umberger was traded due to the fact that he was a free agent and the Flyers simply didn’t have the money to sign him.  They just signed Jeff Carter instead.  Umberger was always one of the favorite Flyers and will always be remembered for his incredible postseason performance in 2008.  The Flyers should be able to get a win tonight because the Blue Jackets just don’t have much firepower.  Outside of Rick Nash and Umberger, they aren’t very good.  The Flyers need to take advantage of an easy week on the schedule and get all 6 points.
